Celebration.
Hi, Twenty. Currently welcoming myself to the featured decade of my aspirations. Thank you, thank you. My wonderful (naggy) mother, bless her soul, sent me a giant moleskin sketchbook. Little did she know just how big this ‘little something’ is. It’s the book of my Twenty-Somethings. Page one include’s today’s Yogi Tea quote: “May your light become a living universal light” and a list of things I’ve learned thus far. I felt it was important to write these things down because of a conversation I had with Travis a few weeks ago. We were discussing how approaching this ‘adult’ age group includes the responsibility of establishing your own values and beliefs apart from those of your parents. As children we assume the minds of our parents and their opinions on matters (besides that of when it’s time to eat cookies and not take that dreaded bath)- and now here I am, fully immersed in the time in my life when I make decisions based on MY thoughts and feelings. So here’s what I know:
-you are perfect. everything is always perfect.
-water is the elixir.
-forgive & aspire.
-listen.
-movement brings joy and new mindsets.
-you can’t make love to someone if you don’t love yourself.
-you are free.
